Welcome to the Chair of Spatial Planning

What is Spatial Planning? Spatial Planning is understood as a systematic approach to formulate decision premises for future spatially relevant actions. The tasks of planners include the coordination of various demands on space, the transport equivalent living conditions in all sub-areas and the development of integrated strategies for sustainable spatial development. This requires spatial-scienced and planung-methodological knowledge. The classical field of competence of planning is nowadays increasingly supplemented by coordination and moderation tasks in open planning processes.
