The Institute of Fluid Power at Technische Universität Dresden, the Dresden Society of Advancement of Fluid Power Technology, the Fluid Power Association of the German Engineering Federation (VDMA) and the Network of Fluid Power Centres in Europe (FPCE) organise the 8th International Fluid Power Conference (8th IFK).

It is scientifically supervisioned by Prof. Dr.-Ing. J. Weber, director of the Institute of Fluid Power at TU Dresden and Prof. Dr.-Ing. H. Murrenhoff, director of the Institute for Fluid Power Drives and Controls at RWTH Aachen. Since 1998 the IFK has been organised alternately every two years in the cities of Aachen and Dresden. The last International Fluid Power Conference (7th IFK) was held in Aachen from 24th to 26th March 2010.

The 8th IFK takes place from 26th March to 28th March 2012 in Dresden.

The following programme is planned:
26th to 28th March: Conference
29th and 30th March: Excursion

During the conference a commercial exhibition is arranged in supplement to the lectures.
