Mainstreaming Environmental Management and Accounting in
Business Education and Research and greening universities on a
national and international scale.
- initiating a separate major field of study Environmental
Management and Economics at Augsburg University in the early
1990s without financial resources
- since 1996 leading the Chair of Enironmental Management
and Accounting at the TU Dresden
- Implementation of an environmental management system along
EMAS at TU Dresden (as first german university of technology)
as head of the environmental commission (first validation in
2003, revalidation in 2006 and 2009)
- environmental validation of all classes offered at TU
Dresden
- developing of a innovative, cross-cultural and
cross-disciplinary teaching concept together with Mark A.
White, University of Virginia in Charlottesville, USA
(Procter+Gamble award for innovative teaching concepts in
2005)
