NEW: 06/2008 Press Release - BIO TECH FLOW SYSTEM [more]

We are an international research group interested in the biology of endothelial cells, particularly the molecular mechanisms of junction regulation in vascular endothelial cells. This topic is of critical importance, e.g. in angio- and vasculogenesis, inflammation, infectious diseases, shock and wound healing. Our group currently consist of 12 people including Post docs, PhD-students, Diploma students, MD students, technicians and international guests. We provide training in cell biology, cell physiology (rheology, cell dynamics, permeability), molecular biology, biochemistry and morphology related to basic and clinical endothelial research and medicine.
Our group is a member of the “Center for Regenerative Therapies Dresden“ (CRTD) and the „International MD/PhD Program“ „Regenerative Medicine“, the “PhD Program „Stoffwechsel und Endothel“ and the International PhD-Program of the Max Plank Institut Cell Biology and Genetics (MPI-CBG) Dresden.
Our lab is located in the Medical Theoretical Centre that belongs to the Medical faculty of the Technical University of Dresden  in the historical and exciting city of Dresden. As the capital of saxonia, Dresden has become a cultural centre with abundant opportunities to explore arts, history and in addition is close by to sight seeing and relaxation opportunities, including the Czech Republic and Poland.
We are closely connected to the BioInnovationsZentrumDresden, the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics Dresden and the Faculty of Computer Science.
