  • Study of Media Science with a focus on media culture and media psychology, University of Cologne (Dipl. Medienwiss.)
  • 2010: PhD in Psychology (Dr. phil.) at the University of Duisburg-Essen on self-presentation and social comparison on social networking sites
  • 2006-2008: Research assistant in the research project “Nonverbal communication politics in the individual and mass media communication. Intercultural comparison between Germany, United States of America and United Arab Emirates”, funded by the German Research Foundation (coordinators: Prof. Dr. Gary Bente, Prof. Dr. Nicole C. Krämer), University of Cologne
  • 2008-2010: Research assistant in the research project “DREAD ED - Disaster readiness through education“, funded by the European Commission (“Lifelong Learning Programme“)
