Our new brochure "Science is..." will give you a little insight into the excellent research, our ambitious plans for the future, the Dresdner application for the Excellence Initiative and of course it will give you an insight into the attractive campus life at the Technische Universität Dresden.

Since 1989 TU Dresden has undergone a profound Transformation. This is unique in Germany. The result is a highperforming inspiring site of communication and cooperation. It provides institutions, scholars and students with a space to exploit its huge potential for research and teaching, to discover pioneering fields of research and to promote the productive transfer of technology and knowledge into business and society.

On behalf of over 36,000 students and 8,100 members of staff, the following pages will present selected topics and personalities coming together to explore new routes. This is how they create the knowledge from which the future develops.
