The TU Dresden Center for Aeronautics and Astronautics was founded on 12/03/2003 as an alliance of establishments of the
TU Dresden. It aims at interlinking different specialized disciplines with relation to aeronautics and astronautics. Foundation members are 21 professorships from 16 institutes of the faculties of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Transportation Sciences, Forestry- Geo- and Hydro Sciences, as well as Medical Science and Law. At present the TU Dresden Center for Aeronautics and Astronautics is financed by voluntary contributions of its members.
