[AFT] Mobile Modelling with Real-time Collaboration Support
The omnipresence of mobile devices and the general shift towards distributed work environments motivate the need for mobile modeling, i.e., the ability to perform modeling on mobile devices in collaboration with others, while every participant potentially is at a different location.
Distributed, collaborative editing of documents is a common practice nowadays, but mainly supported for textual documents and spreadsheet applications.
The goal of this AFT is to investigate the state of the art of these technologies with respect to modeling.
The task for this AFT is to give an overview of the state of the art in distributed real-time mobile modeling with a particular focus on modeling using the Unified Modelling Language (UML).
This leads to he following individual subtasks:
- Literature and app/software review on current technologies for mobile modeling
- Literature review on current real-time collaboration technologies
- Literature review on cross-platform app development approaches
- Literature review on textual representations of UML diagrams
- Gap analysis to highlight open research questions
