Living Expenses
In order to cover your living expenses, you must reckon with
approximately 600 € per month. Initially this must be
self-financed. Please note that proof of sufficient and secure
financial means is already required when applying to the
University. This means: when you apply for your visa, you must
show proof of financial security that will allow you to
adequately cover everyday living expenses and any academic
expenditures.

the home country at a German bank. Further financing must be
plausibly shown through the submission of the appropriate

Proof of a Grant/Scholarsip
Grants/Scholarships
Unfortunately, Germany does not offer scholarships to
foreign students who are at the beginningof their academic
career. This also applies to the Basic Studies (Grundstudium)
level students. It is best to first search for funding
possibilities in your own home country. When planning your
academic schedule, you should be aware that even in advanced
stages of your programme (including post-graduate level), the
possiblilities for receiving a scholarship remain very
limited.
Financial Aid opportunties may be possible through the
German Academic Exchange Program (DAAD) or through various
foundations and organisations.
With the help of funds of the STIBET program financed
by the DAAD the International Office assings mentoring
scholarships and degree assistance to especially qualified
foreign students of TU Dresden. For the current
