With the realisation of the building project "TUD Neubau BIW Georg-Schumann Straße 7 in 01187 Dresden", it was possible for the Institute of Construction Materials to concentrate its entire research and laboratory capacity at a common location on the TU grounds. The building project, which was funded by the Federal Government of Germany, was completed by the end of 2010. The experimental and testing facilities were integrated into the laboratory building with test hall. This created a decisive basis for efficient working under state-of-the-art conditions to meet the growing demands of practical student training, research and development and scientific materials testing.
