Research interests
- Monitoring and control of forest pests (in particular Ips typographus L.) in managed and unmanaged forest stands
- Application of IBM (individual based modelling), GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and ANN (Artificial Neural Network) for
- developing of long term forecasts of epidemic occurrences
- test of management strategies and tools
- derivation of management plans and risk assessment
