The Institute of Urban and Industrial Water Management represents the fields of expertise wastewater treatment, urban hydrology, process engineering in hydro systems and transport processes in hyrosystems in teaching and research.

... the Department of Hydro Sciences, in which both engineering and natural sciences institutes are represented.
Students are trained in modular bachelor and master courses and prepared for a career in engineering companies, public authorities or science.
The institute’s research activities include basic and more fundamental research projects as well as projects that are close to practice. Thereby, the gained knowledge is used to solve problems, qualify employees and provide teaching adapted to current “water” questions.
Three chairs and more than 30 employees belong to the Institute of Urban and Industrial Water Management.
