Students are able to work independently on problems in the context of urban and regional development with the help of spatial data science techniques. They understand and know how to ensure the readability of information for various target groups and its seamless integration into decision-making processes as well as the success of data science projects. In addition, students are able to analyze, visualize and communicate data.
The module covers the competent use of techniques and tools for processing, modelling, analysing and visualizing multidimensional data with a spatial reference and in particular for planning and decision support. Further content includes methods and approaches that are suitable for discovering previously unknown but relevant patterns, relationships and trends in spatial data.
