Careers
Graduates of the programme will be prepared to manage complex challenges at the intersection of spatial and environmental development, which require the integration of scientific insights perception in a social context. This will provide graduates with a solid foundation for handling such tasks in either professional or research environments both within Germany and abroad, due to the interdisciplinary and international orientation of their studies.
Many research opportunities are available in university and non-university research institutions. Graduates will also be prepared for jobs in public administration, such as town and country planning, departmental planning, and environmental monitoring. Further opportunities include working with environmental and nature conservation organisations at both national and international levels, as well as other non-governmental organisations. Finally, employment opportunities are also available with private agencies for urban planning, consultancy firms involved in fields such as the energy economy, feedstock industries, building industries, and insurance business.
