Working Area
Ralph Biller has been employed as a research assistant at the Chair of Automotive Engineering since February 2023 as part of a research project in cooperation with the Audi AG. During his dual Bachelor and Master study in cooperation with the automotive supplier Schaeffler he was engaged on mechatronic suspension systems and their simulation. In his Master thesis he investigated a bobsleigh´s driving dynamics by the use of simulation with which he could reduce the downhill time significantly. Subsequently, in his job as an engineer he applied his method on a test rig and in the real bobsleigh. Furthermore, he developed several concepts of propulsion and suspensions by the use of virtual methods. In his current work at the chair he examines the objectification of the driver´s perception with focus on longitudinal dynamics to create a virtual design methodology.
