Tabish Haque's research interest lies in the use of Operations Research and Artificial Intelligence to contribute to sustainable transportation systems. His primary area of expertise is on disruption management in urban metro and rail systems. In addition, he is interested in evaluating and enhancing the necessary operational and infrastructure modifications for resilience in transportation systems.

Uwe Höppner studied industrial engineering at the TU Dresden with a specialization in traffic science. After completing his studies, he worked in logistics consulting at DB Cargo AG from 2005, dealing with the development of multimodal transport solutions and customer-specific rail-based logistics concepts. He was able to maintain contact with university research through numerous innovation projects. In 2020 he returned to the TU Dresden, where he took over the management of the research group of Rail Freight & Logistics in 2022. He is a long-standing member of the German Logistics Association (BVL) and the German Society for Project Management (GPM) and holds a project management certification from the IPMA.

Maurice Krauth studied B.Sc. Industrial Engineering in Hannover in 2016 and majored in Automation. Subsequently, Maurice Krauth also studied industrial engineering in Hanover in the master's program, specializing in production management and medical technology. During his studies, Maurice Krauth worked as a student assistant at various economic institutes and was an intern in research and development at B.Braun Melsungen AG. In 2018, Maurice Krauth was a student at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos in Madrid for a semester abroad. He then wrote his master's thesis at the Institute for Mechatronic Systems in the field of medical technology. Since May 2020, Maurice Krauth has been working as a research assistant at the Chair of Rail Transport, Urban and Regional Public Transport.

Dr.-Ing. Beate Lux studied traffic engineering at the TU Dresden. Initially, she worked in aircraft construction and in the project management of railroad infrastructure projects. In 2002, she returned to TU Dresden and has been researching and teaching in the field of public transport operations. Since 2020, she is responsible for the railroad operations laboratory.

Julio Alberto López Gómez has a PhD in advanced information technologies and he is currently associate professor at the department of Information Systems and Technologies in the University of Castilla La Mancha (UCLM) in Spain, concretely in the Escuela de Ingeniería Minera e Industrial de Almadén (EIMIA), where he teaches computer science and building communication systems. He is also computer engineering graduated by University of Castilla La Mancha and he completed the data science and computer engineering master with mention in data science and intelligent techniques in University of Granada (Spain). His research interests are artificial intelligence, machine learning, metaheuristics algorithms, fuzzy logic and railway transport systems.
