Content of the Course
Part II: Detailed aspects of the planning and design of airports
Together with part 1 in the winter term, this course provides a broad basic knowledge of the subject area of air traffic. In the second part, building on the knowledge of the previous part 1, the knowledge in the field of aerodrome design, construction and dimensioning is deepened both on land and airside. The legal and planning aspects of air traffic facility design are examined here in detail for the approach and departure areas, the taxiway and apron, and the terminal. You will also learn more about the special requirements of heliports.
