lecturers | Prof. Dr. rer. nat. habil. Karl Nachtigall (lecturer in charge) Dr.-Ing. Sven-Orlev Neufert Dr.-Ing. Steffen Marx |
intention of the lecture | The course introduces the theory of transportation systems. Models overlapping the whole transportation system describing transportation and traffic flows and their stochastic behaviour are discussed. The qualitative as well as the quantitative description of system performance in transportation and traffic systems are focussed. In addition the possibilities of statistic modelling of transportation problems, transportation metrics and metrology, methods of measurement and evaluation models, queuing theory, performance assessment of transportation systems are purpose of the course. |
