Dr. Feldbausch Sponsorship Award 2021

On the Day of the Faculty of Economics, our former employee Dr. Kirsten Hoffmann was honored as one of two awardees with the Dr. Feldbausch Sponsorship Award 2021.

With her dissertation "Railway Crew Scheduling Problems with Attendance Rates", Ms. Hoffmann has excellently succeeded in meeting the challenge of scheduling shifts for train crews under consideration of route- and time-dependent quotas. In doing so, she not only solves a practical problem, but at the same time enriches research in the field of crew scheduling with a new branch of research. With the team Janis Neufeld, Martin Scheffler and Felix Tamke, their solution approach was implemented in the software package SINA and is in practical use at DB Regio.
