Objectives & Content |
In this course current topics from the research and operational practice of industrial management are covered. Among these are questions arising in production planning, scheduling, supply chain management and logistics. The students learn to present a selected planning problem on the basis the scientific literature and to formulate it as mathematical program. Existing solution methods, mainly from the field of Operational Research, are evaluated, compared and applied to solve the problem. |

Forms of Teaching & Learning |
All students have to write a seminar paper. The self-study is supported by consultations with the supervisor. Finally, the results of all seminar papers are presented and discussed at the end of the semester. | |
