BioDIP Winter Seminar
Dr. Andreas Hartmann (B CUBE)
Dr. Titus Franzmann (BIOTEC)
Topic: Fluorescence Correlation Spectroscopy (FCS)
FCS can be used to measure the concentration of fluorescently labeled molecules as well as dynamic properties such as diffusivity and binding dynamics. The method can be applied in vivo and in vitro and works with very low fluorophore concentration.
Speakers:
Dr. Jens Ehrig (CMCB MIM Facility) - “Introduction to FCS”
Dr. Andreas Hartmann (Schlierf lab, B CUBE): ) - "FCS measurements - Setting up & Troubleshooting"
Dr. Titus Franzmann (Alberti lab, BIOTEC) - "Looking at a protein folding problem through an FCS lens”

About BioDIP Seminars:
The BioDIP seminar focus on the imaging techniques available on Dresden Johannstadt Life Science campus. The goal is to introduce the audience to the general principle behind a technique and to provide practical insights and real-life experience by colleagues who already successfully applied the technique in their projects.
