Benefits, Objectives and First Practices of Research Data Management (90-minute Workshop in English)
What is research data management? Why should I deal with research data management at all? What measures help me to begin with the management of my data?
This 90-min beginner’s course presents the objectives of research data management (RDM) in order to fulfil the criteria of good scientific practice and presents solutions on how to avoid the most common data management issues. By doing so the course provides you with a first overview about best practices on how to organize and document your data.
Please note: This is an introductory course. If you seek in-depth information on specific RDM topics, such as legal aspects of data publishing or how to make your data FAIR (i.e., Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reproducible), we recommend booking an individual appointment with the Service Center Research Data (see link below) and/or choose the course “Detailed Research Data Management Practices - Data Handling in your Daily Research Routine”.
