Basic Information

Comprehensive Information can be found in the rules of the programme: Ordnung für das Maria-Reiche-Programm zur Förderung von akademischen Karrierewegen von promovierten Nachwuchswissenschaftlerinnen.

TU Dresden launched the Maria Reiche support programme for female habilitation candidates and post-doc researchers with the aim to improve equal opportunity for early-career female scientists at TU Dresden on their way to a professorship.

The programme is designed for early-career female scientists who plan to pursue habilitation (second PhD) or obtain an equivalent qualification.

Post-doc funding: grant/post for applying for a project that qualifies for a university career (habilitation, head of a junior research group). The funding period is18 months with the opportunity of extension for max. further 6 month by positive evaluation. If the application for third-party funding is approved before this deadline passes, funding terminates when the agreement with the sponsored candidate in the project comes into effect.

Depending on the post-doc fellow’s application, funding is either used to fund a half- or full-time post (TV-L13, in exceptional cases up to E 14 TV-L) or can be paid out as a grant. The grant total is in accordance with the current DFG funding guidelines.

The invitation to apply is placed once a year: deadlines are 31st of August.
Next deadline of application: 31st August 2018.

Start of funding

Funding for a position may start in January at the earliest.
