Doctoral Council
What is the Doctoral Council?
Since 2014, the Doctoral Council of the Graduate Academy (DDocs) represents the interests of the doctoral members of the GA. When the Graduate Academy was founded, the Doctoral Council was linked to GA membership, as there was no reliable information on the totality of all doctoral candidates at TU Dresden and thus no way to correctly conduct university-wide elections.
With the registration of all doctoral candidates of TU Dresden in Promovendus, the technical prerequisites are now given: All doctoral candidates at TU Dresden can be invited to the election as eligible voters. In February 2022, the Rectorate thus decided to transform the Doctoral Council of the Graduate Academy into a university-wide representation of interests of all doctoral candidates of TU Dresden.
From May 25 - 27, 2022, the Doctoral Council was elected university-wide for the first time and represents now the interests of all doctoral candidates at TU Dresden across faculties and regardless of employment or student status.
What are the tasks and rights of the Doctoral Council?
The tasks and rights of the Doctoral Council include:
