EUTOPIA Impact School 2023
Do you have an exciting research topic and would like to present it to the widest possible audience? The stage is set for your research at the EUTOPIA Impact School 2023!
The EUTOPIA Impact School brings together 10 doctoral candidates and postdocs from all EUTOPIA partner universities. The TU Dresden can allocate one place. The participants are offered an exclusive training programme on the topic of science communication. They will have the opportunity to work individually on their scientific texts, exchange ideas and present their research.
The Impact School 2023 is dedicated to the topic „Science Communication und Science Slam“. During a three-day online workshop, the participants work specifically on their own scientific texts. In addition, they deal intensively with the format of the science slam, learn storytelling and presentation techniques and finally create their own presentation. At the end of the Impact School, participants will present their contribution in a short video pitch that will be published on the GA and EUTOPIA websites. Use this opportunity to give an international audience an insight into your research!
The workshop will be led by Dr. Julia Offe and Armin Himmelrath. Dr. Julia Offe is an expert in the field of science communication and science slam. She has played a major role in developing the format and establishing it in Germany. With her expertise, she can provide participants with valuable knowledge for their scientific careers.
As a science journalist, Armin Himmelrath has many years of journalistic experience in print and radio (e.g. Spiegel, Deutschlandfunk) and is a lecturer in journalistic writing at various educational institutions. He is also the author of several books on education and science policy topics.
