In addition to the lectures, a basic nursing course will start in January 2023 in order to make the exchange opportunities for students and employees of the TUD who are currently assuming nursing responsibilities more individual and practical. This will be a basic course. The number of participants is limited to a maximum of 12 people.

1. How does care succeed at home? Overview of important topics and practical knowledge
2. what do I start with? Orientation, organization and control for your everyday life
3. what benefits are people in need of care entitled to? Overview and facts about applications and benefits from long-term care insurance
4. how do I manage? Coping with and relieving the burden of everyday care through helpful strategies

Target group and objective:
TU Dresden students and employees with current caregiving responsibilities; relatives and volunteers can learn skills for independent caregiving in caregiving courses and caregiving training. The contents of the nursing courses are specified by the nursing care insurance companies.

Maximum number of participants: 12 persons
Dates:
The basic nursing course covers two dates and takes place on:
- Date: Monday, 23.01.2023 and Monday, 13.03.2023
- Time: in each case from 15:00 - 19:00 o'clock
- Speaker: Susan Holbein from the expert office for nursing and geriatric care, nursing consultant of the TU Dresden
- Place: Presence, place is announced in the course of the registration

Please note that participation in the basic nursing course does not count as working time.
