Short Description EV 3.2 Teaching, Learning and Research in Workshops
In the individual project 3.2 “Teaching, learning and Research in Workshops”, carried out as part of the measures “Synergetic Teacher Education in an Excellent Framework” (TUD Sylber) in the course of the quality improvement in teacher training, the discussion about the relationship between theoretical and practical training elements is conducted. One way of linking the scientific knowledge of rules and practical case reference is represented by workshops with diverse, stimulating materials as learning landscapes.
The aim of the project is to develop pedagogical professionalism in a multi-perspective manner in the existing workshops Learning and Research Workshop for Primary Schools (LuFo) and Educational Science Teaching and Research Workshop (ELF) by having students learn in a self-organized manner with a focus on discovery and research. Within the framework of research workshops, students develop their own research questions and complete research projects that challenge them to describe and analyze professional situations in the sense of a research habitus, while adopting a child-oriented perspective. The critical examination of theoretical content as well as the independent implementation of practical components supports the formation of perceptual, interpretive and reflective skills that teachers need to master pedagogical challenges. The successive, conceptual development of the workshop offers, their evaluation, as well as the development of cooperations are of particular interest.
