Project University School Dresden – Conferences and dates in spring
The University School ForUs research center and other designers of the University School Dresden project will be represented at various conferences and events related to educational research and school practice in spring 2026.

MetaQualität annual meeting at the Goethe University Frankfurt
On February 26 and 27, 2026, the annual meeting of MetaQualität will take place at Goethe University Frankfurt. MetaQualität is a meta project in the BMBFSFJ's Empirical Educational Research framework program in the funding line "Change processes in educational institutions and related quality assurance and development measures". The focus of the meeting is on transfer concepts and transfer processes. The members of the sub-projects and individual projects exchange information on the transfer concepts underlying the projects as well as the results already available or expected that are suitable for transfer to the school environment. The annual meeting serves to open up perspectives and initiate discussions that will be deepened in the following summer and autumn forums.
Prof. Dr. Anke Langner reports on the BMBF joint projects QualiPro and GoFlexi with the participation of TU Dresden. The QualiPro project "Quality of learning process support: experimental and university schools as development and transfer actors" focuses on the development of target agreement meetings (ZVF) by means of observations and the evaluation of video recordings of ZVG at the Dresden University School. As part of GoFlexi "Making the upper secondary level more flexible through timetabling", a timetable for a flexible upper secondary level is being developed in conjunction with the concept development of the upper secondary level at Dresden University School.
DGfE - Spring conference of the "Social Inequality and Social Structure Analysis" section in Potsdam
The section conference "Social Inequality and Social Structure Analysis" of the German Educational Research Association will take place from 4 to 6 March 2026 at the University of Potsdam. The focus will be on new theoretical approaches to the emergence, consolidation or change of inequality structures, innovative methodological research designs or approaches that use previously untapped data sources, as well as exciting findings from ongoing research.
Dr. Matthias Ritter presents the qualitative study Perception, justification and evaluation of social inequality from the perspective of children aged 10-12 years , which was conducted together with Christoph Haßler and Savo Beoles. Using guided interviews, the study examines how 10 to 12-year-old children at Dresden University School perceive, justify and evaluate social inequality.
Good education needs projects! - GMP symposium in Rostock
The 3rd symposium on the topic of "School as a place of learning in digital change - education for a sustainable society" of the GPM - Deutsche Gesellschaft für Projektmanagement e.V. will take place in Rostock on April 17 and 18, 2026 in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Child Day Care Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
The scientific director Prof. Dr. Anke Langner and principal Maxi Heß will share their experiences and insights from project learning at the University School Dresden on Friday, April 17, 2026.

International Association of Laboratory Schools - Annual Conference 2026 in Jyväskylä
From April 21 to 23, 2026 , the annual conference of the IALS (International Association of Laboratory Schools) will take place in Jyväskylä, Finland, under the motto Teaching for Tomorrow: Research-Based Practice and Global Collaboration in Lab Schools .
Prof. Dr. Anke Langner and Dr. Marlis Pesch from the Research Unit University School ForUS will present the project ALSO - Alternatives Lehramtspraktikum in the talk From the University School to Practice - A Model for Developing Practical Teacher Education.

About the University School Dresden
The Dresden University School is a joint project of the state capital Dresden and the TUD Dresden University of Technology. It is a public and free community school run by the city, where innovative forms of teaching and learning are tested under scientific supervision. In addition, it is a training school for future teachers and, in the future, a further education school for teachers. The school trial is being scientifically supported by the ForUS research center at TU Dresden.
