In Seattle our students study together with the future experts in Intellectual Property Law from all over the world. Our participants study together with students from the USA, Canada, Thailand, Japan, Brasil and numerous other countries.
The IP LL.M. programme at the University of Washington is one of the best in the United States. The courses include Patent, Copyright and Trademark Law, Biotechnology and Emerging Technologies as well as the Law of Licensing. The studies are not limited to US Law but also give the chance to gain insight in international law. Specific lectures are given at the School of Law by experts in these fields.
The overall focus of this Intellectual Property Law Programme is on the emerging intellectual property legal issues relating to technological innovation in all fields.
The study programme consist of compulsory courses in Intellectual Property Law Core, Intellectual Property Innovations in Science and Technology and Comparative Legal Analysis. Additional lectures can be chosen from a great variety of courses. Overall, our students have to reach 12 credits per trimester.
Seattle is a beautiful place to live and study. In their spare time our students are able to visit the amazing mountains and national parks in Seattle´s surroundings. Washington State offers the chance to do trips to the neighbouring states Orgegon, Idaho and Canada.
