Anmeldung zur Israel-Exkursion 13.-22.3.2022
Leider musste die für März 2021 geplante Exkursion nach Israel um ein Jahr verschoben werden. Die Professur für Biblische Theologie am Institut für Katholische Theologie der TU Dresden bietet sie nun vom 13. bis 22. März 2022 an. Diese wissenschaftliche Studienreise führt zu bedeutenden archäologischen Stätten und Erinnerungsorten aus biblischer und frühchristlicher Zeit.
Teilnehmen können Studierende (und Promovenden) der Katholischen und Evangelischen Theologie, Studierende der Fächer (Alte) Geschichte, Klassische Philologie oder Antike Kulturen, sowie nach Rücksprache mit der Veranstalterin Studierende anderer Fächer an der Philosophischen Fakultät mit einem Studienfokus „Naher Osten“.
Die Teilnehmenden verpflichten sich zur Übernahme eines Referats, das im WS 21/22 vorbereitet wird (bzw. im WS 20/21 vorbereitet wurde) und im Rahmen der Exkursion präsentiert wird.

Programm
1. Tag – Anreise
Flug von Prag, Berlin oder München nach Tel Aviv. Anschließend Fahrt an den See Gennesaret (4 Nächte).
2. Tag – Die heiligen Stätten am See Gennesaret
Auf dem Berg der Seligpreisungen, hoch über dem Nordufer des Sees, hielt Jesus die Bergpredigt. Von der oktogonalen Kuppelkirche aus bietet sich ein traumhaft schöner Blick über den gesamten See. Wir wandern bergab nach Tabgha (Siebenquellen), dem Ort der wunderbaren Brotvermehrung. Hier erfreuen wir uns an den einzigartigen Mosaiken aus byzantinischer Zeit. Von hier sind es nur wenige Meter bis zur Primatskapelle. Kafarnaum, ist die Stadt, „wo Jesus wohnte“. Zu sehen ist hier noch eine gut erhaltene Synagoge aus dem 4. Jh. und das Haus des Petrus. Ein lohnender Abstecher führt uns zu den neuen Ausgrabungen von Magdala.
3. Tag – Oberes Galiläa
Kursi gilt als Ort des „Schweinewunders“. Wir sehen hier die Ruinen eines byzantinischen Klosterkomplexes. Betsaida und Korazim sind die Stätten, in denen Jesus viele Wunder vollbrachte, sie aber mit seinem „Wehe“ belegte. Die Stadt Gamla wurde nach dem Aufstand gegen die Römer im Jahre 67 komplett zerstört. Hier erwarten uns die Ruinen sowie eine faszinierende Kolonie von Gänsegeiern, die hier leben. Die Fahrt geht weiter in den Norden Israels zu der Jordanquelle Dan. Am Abend fahren wir über die Golanhöhen zurück an den See.
4. Tag – In der Jesreel-Ebene
Megiddo gilt als das Armageddon der Johannes-Apokalypse. Die zahlreichen Schichten des „Tels“ erzählen von mehr als 5000 Jahren Geschichte. Etwas Entspannung gibt es dann im Nationalpark Sachne zu Füßen des Berges Gilboa mit seinen Naturpools, die zum Baden einladen. Später sehen wir die umfangreichen Ausgrabungen in Bet She’an, einst ein bedeutendes Handelszentrum und Teil der Dekapolis. Auf dem Rückweg machen wir in Zippori eine Zeitreise in die „Kinderstube Jesu“.
5. Tag – Entlang des Jordangrabens nach Jerusalem
Nach dem Frühstück geht es nach Jericho, der ältesten Stadt der Welt. Wir sehen hier die Ausgrabungen des Tels mit verschiedenen Schichten aus 11.500 Jahren. Danach geht es Wadi Kelt in der Judäischen Wüste. Auf dem Herodion befinden sich Überreste eines prächtigen Palastes König Herodes‘, den wir besichtigen. Gegen Abend erreichen wir das Ziel unserer Reise – die Heilige Stadt Jerusalem (5 Nächte).
6. Tag – Die heiligen Stätten in Jerusalem
Vom Ölberg aus liegt uns die Altstadt Jerusalems zu Füßen. Wir besuchen das Himmelfahrtsheiligtum und die Vaterunserkirche. Einen wunderbaren Panoramablick bietet die Kapelle Dominus Flevit, von der aus wir bald den Garten von Getsemani mit der Kirche der Nationen erreichen. Ganz im Zeichen der Passion Christi steht der Nachmittag. Wir empfinden seinen letzten Gang auf der Via Dolorosa nach. Zunächst erreichen wir die schlichte Kreuzfahrerkirche St. Anna am Teich von Betesda. Wir gehen am Ecce-Homo- Bogen vorbei und betreten die Burg Antonia. Hier erinnern uns der Lithostrotos (Steinpflaster) und die Geißelungskapelle an das Leiden Jesu. Die Grabeskirche, der heiligste Ort der Christenheit, bildet den Abschluss des heutigen Tages.
7. Tag – Jerusalems Altstadt
Jerusalem ist die Heilige Stadt der Juden, Christen und Muslime. Zunächst verweilen wir an der Klagemauer, dem größten Heiligtum der Juden. Anschließend gelangen wir zum Tempelplatz mit der Al-Aqsa-Moschee und dem Felsendom, einem architektonischen Meisterwerk. Die in leuchtenden Farben angelegten Mosaike trösten ein wenig darüber hinweg, dass beide Moscheen nur von Muslimen betreten werden dürfen (der Zugang zum Tempelplatz kann nicht garantiert werden). Nachdem wir im Archäologischen Park in 2.000 Jahre Geschichte eingetaucht sind, erkunden wir die Davidsstadt mit dem Hiskiah-Tunnel, den ältesten besiedelten Teil Jerusalems. Später erreichen wir die Benediktinerabtei Dormitio auf dem Berg Zion. Im Israel-Museum faszinieren das Modell des antiken Jerusalem sowie die Schriftrollen im Schrein des Buches.
8. Tag – Yad Vashem und Betlehem
Ein Besuch in der Holocaust-Gedenkstätte Yad Vashem stimmt uns nachdenklich. Unser Nachmittagsausflug führt uns nach Betlehem, der Geburtsstadt Jesu. Heute liegt die Stadt in den palästinensischen Autonomiegebieten. Bei einem Rundgang durch die lebhafte Altstadt bekommen wir Einblick in den Alltag der arabischen Bevölkerung. Ein Besuch der Geburtsbasilika ist ein „Muss“ für jeden Pilger. Ein Silberstern in der Geburtsgrotte kennzeichnet den Ort, an dem Christus zur Welt kam. Bei der Fahrt auf die Hirtenfelder kann man sich vergegenwärtigen, wie es hier vor 2000 Jahren aussah.
9. Tag – Ausflug ans Tote Meer
Nach kurzer Fahrt gelangen wir von Jerusalem ans Tote Meer. Ein Spaziergang im Nahal David (Ein Gedi) führt uns, vorbei an Wasserfällen und erfrischenden Wasserbecken, durch den Nationalpark. Einen Einblick in das Leben der Essener erhalten wir in Qumran, dem Fundort der geheimnisvollen Schriftrollen aus dem 2. Jh. v. Chr. Genießen Sie später das Gefühl der Schwerelosigkeit im hochprozentigen Salzwasser!
10. Tag – Rückreise
Auf dem Weg zum Flughafen halten wir noch in Abu Gosh, das als einer der Emmaus-Orte gilt. Wir besuchen das Kloster. Im Künstlerstädtchen Jaffa am Mittelmeer heißt es nun Abschied nehmen. Hier erwartet uns die St. Peterskirche und eine kleine, feine Altstadt mit verwinkelten Gässchen. Am frühen Nachmittag erreichen wir den Flughafen in Tel Aviv. Rückflug nach Prag, Berlin oder München.
