Mitmach-Podcast Alles im grünen Bereich?

The project "Alles im grünen Bereich?" is one of the winning teams in this year's university competition in the "Year of Science 2022 - Nachgefragt". A jury selected the best 15 project ideas from 270 submissions. The winning teams will each receive 10,000 euros to put their ideas into practice by the end of the year.

The content is about Tik Tok, Twitter, Rittersport, Covid19 vaccines or NFTs...What do these phenomena have in common? It's about intellectual property and current trends and topics that are of particular interest to pupils. What or how (long) something is protected or who is entitled to protection and why this is desirable is often unclear and complex.

The project wants to explore these questions in an understandable way within the framework of a participatory podcast. Under the question "Alles im grünen Bereich?", questions and topics from the areas of copyright, patent, trademark and design law as well as data protection and media law are to be worked out together with pupils. Together with them and experts, these topics will be discussed in 10 episodes and the questions answered.

The aim of the project is, on the one hand, to raise pupils' awareness of intellectual property and, on the other hand, to compare them with the needs, expectations of the law and solution approaches of a particularly relevant/vulnerable user group.

The university competition is organized annually by Wissenschaft im Dialog (WiD) in cooperation with the German Association of University Communication and the German Rectors' Conference and is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research as part of the Year of Science.
