Research and teaching at the Chair for North American Literature with a Focus on Future Studies engages the interdisciplinary and transcultural study of literatures from the U.S., Canada, and Indigenous Nations. In light of the climate emergency, increasing digital and technocultural transformations, and ongoing global injustices, the focus on “Future Studies” highlights entanglements among humans, technology, and environments in cultural imaginations of critical futures.
