From Dresden to the diversity of the francophone world
The Centrum France | Francophonie (CFF) sees itself as a platform for internationalisation and interdisciplinary networking.
It promotes exchanges between actors at TU Dresden and partners in France and francophone countries in the scientific and cultural fields. The CFF networks existing activities and supports new activities in the three main areas of activity: Research, Teaching and Third Mission.
The CFF is a founding member of the network of university French and Francophone centres in Germany (netzwerkffz.de).
In addition, it also acts as an organizer:in or is the venue of the Literaturnetz Dresden (literaturnetz-dresden.de).

What is the Centrum France | Francophonie?
The Centrum France | Francophonie (CFF) sees itself as a platform for internationalization and interdisciplinary networking.
It promotes the exchange between actors of the TU Dresden and partners in France and the francophone countries in the scientific and cultural field. The CFF networks existing activities and supports new ones in the three central areas of activity: research, teaching and third mission.
The CFF is a founding member of the network of university centres for France and La Francophonie in Germany.
It also acts as an organizer and venue in the Literaturnetz Dresden.
In addition to interdisciplinary networking on a regional, national and international level, the company initiates its own research fields in the long term and designs creative event formats. This includes, among other things, making visible already existing cooperations between the institutes of the TU Dresden and francophone partners from teaching, research, culture and business.
The CFF thus functions as a place of German-French or German-Francophone scientific and cultural exchange as well as a contact point for international cooperation.
Here's what you can expect:
- Support for students looking for study and funding opportunities / internships in the francophone world, among others (see always current offers under the tab "Further links")
- a diversified teaching programme by inviting francophone visiting scholars
- structured promotion of young researchers within the framework of the German-French doctoral college, funded by the German-French University of Applied Sciences
- a range of scientific and cultural events – lectures, readings, workshops, film series, conferences – related to France and other francophone regions
- Perspective-shifting insights into current issues in the francophone cultural area for the general public
- the discovery of mechanisms and patterns of interculturality
