Gerry Weber, Kuka and Bayer

In line with the module "Case Study: Financial Analyst Report" of the chair of Business Management, esp Management Accounting and Control, three student teams presented their projects on January 11^th, 2017 in the faculty's ceremonial hall. During the event the students put themselves into the role of a financial analyst, who rates a company on behalf of an investor. That includes, besides of a strategic analysis, also the analysis of the financial statement as well as a business valuation. At this point, the module connects the chair's lectures "Financial Statement Analysis", "Strategic Management and Control" and "Business Valuation and Value Based Management" and prepares the future graduates for the master operational and strategic challenges. The analyzed companies of this year's cycle were: Gerry Weber, Kuka and Bayer.

A special highlight of this semester has been the participation of Bayer AG's representatives of the department of "Accounting for M&A & Licensing", who challenged the students with questions out of their own everyday life practice. The organizers are pleased, that the students' work is being appreciated beyond the bounds of the university. They like to thank Dr. Dominika Gödde and Dr. Ron Christian Salzmann very much for their participation in the event.
