Lecture with exercise (SS 19) - Organisation- 26.6.2019 The reviews for the assigned papers are due by 01.07.2019 (AoE). Follow the EasyChair link to access the conference management system.
- 16.6.2019 The schedule for the individual presentations is now offline.
- 3.6.2019 There will be no exercise tomorrow!
- 7.5.2019 There will be no exercise on Tuesday, 7th of May to give you time completing the comparison table. If you need an additional consultation during the usual time slot, write an e-mail to Thomas Kühn.
Depending on the level of the participants of the lecture, the contents will be adjusted. If all levels are represented in the course, there will be two parts: one for BA-and MA-level (incl. Diploma-level) and one for PhD-level students.
The lecture will be an open discussion instead of a frontup reading of slides. Thus, prepare for the lecture by reading them yourself. The lecture itself will be a guided discussion of the contents of the slides.
The general task of the exercise is to write your own research paper of 4-5 pages focusing on an arbitrary topic within computer science. The paper should utilize the academic skills acquired throughout the course.
Important Dates
Your paper must be submitted until 25th of June 2019 (AoE) by submitting it via Easychair (https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=asise2019). Afterwards, we will cross-review all submissions. Finally, after including the recommended suggestions from all reviews, the final camera ready version is due to 12th of Juli 2019 (AoE).
Format
The paper should use the ACM SIGPLAN Conference Format acmart
, 10 point font, with the font family Times New Roman. All submitted papers should be in PDF
format. If you use LaTeX or Word, please use the provided ACM SIGPLAN Templates provided here. Otherwise, follow the author instructions.
For students using LaTeX, you will need to use the acmart
LaTeX class, with the sigplan
option in the template. Note that submissions should have a 10 point font. If you are formatting your paper using Word, you may wish to use the provided Word template that supports this font size. Please include page numbers in your paper. Adding the line \settopmatter{printfolios=true}
after the \documentclass
command generates page numbers. Please also ensure that your paper is legible when printed on a black and white printer. In particular, please check that colors remain distinct and font sizes are legible.
