[BA] Systematic Refactoring of a Test Suite Generation Approach for BRISE Multiple Product Line
Test suite generation for Software Product Lines is an important and a well-established research area. BRISE-MPL is a multiple product line for expensive blackbox optimization, developed at the chair of software technology. In its current version, BRISE possesses a partially automated test suite generation approach with a monolithic architecture.
The goal of this thesis is to systematically refactor the test suite generation approach for BRISE-MPL, improving its automation, modularity and effectiveness assessment. To reach this goal the following tasks need to be accomplished.
- Analyze the current test suite of BRISE-MPL and perform requirements engineering.
- Examine state-of-the-art approaches for software testing and software product line testing based on the identified requirements.
- Propose a new test suite generation architecture for BRISE-MPL, improving its automation, modularization, feature coverage and effectiveness assessment.
- Implement the proposed approach and integrate it into BRISE-MPL.
- Evaluate the novel approach against the existing test suite generation approach of BRISE-MPL.
