Team Project
The entire TUD is open to you for team projects. As a team of 2-4 students, please choose a topic as well as a suitable hosting group, in consultation with a CMS-involved university lecturer. This is part of the learning objectives, which focus on university research. Please register in selma for the module TEA (this applies to students in the tracks Computational Life Science, Logical Modeling and Visual Computing) or according to the course catalog for the module of the subject profiling in which a team project is offered (this applies to students in the tracks Computational Engineering and Computational Mathematics).
After completing the team project registration form, send the registration form to your examiner for his/her signature. After his/her signature, you or the examiner should send the registration form directly to the examination office. The registration for the team project should be done at least 14 days before the planned start of the project. One registration is sufficient for each team. The regular processing time for project work and written project report is 12 weeks. After the project report has been submitted, the oral presentation takes place as arranged between the examiner and the students. After completion of the team project, the examiner will fill out an individual evaluation protocol for each student, which the examiner will receive directly from the examination office approximately two weeks before the deadline for submission of the team project.
Research Project
The research project shall be carried out independently. Similar to the team project, you must choose a topic and suitable hosting group anywhere within TUD, in consultation with a CMS-involved university lecturer. There is no general list of topics offered per semester. Here, each suitable examiner must be contacted individually regarding a topic. As soon as you have found an examiner and a suitable topic you have to register for the research project. Please register in Selma for the module CMS-PRO and submit the registration research project form to the examination office. Please have the registration form signed by your supervisor and your examiner beforehand. The registration for the research project should be done at least 14 days before the planned start of the project. The regular processing time for project work and written project report is 16 weeks. After the project report has been submitted, the oral presentation takes place as arranged between the examiner and the student.
After completion of the Research Project, the examiner will fill out an evaluation protocol, which the examiner will receive directly from the examination office approximately two weeks prior to the research project submission deadline.
