General information on data protection
Information requirements by EU Data Protection Regulation
We, the TU Dresden-Boysen Research Training Group, as the organizer of the Boysen-TU Dresden- Summer School, would like to inform you about which personal data we handle for the purposes of organizing and running our Summer School.
Your registration and related information and personal data is always provided voluntarily. When you submit your registration or make inquiries about the Summer School via e-mail, personally, or via phone, we assume that you voluntarily accept the hereafter described processing of your personal data.
For which purposes do we use your data?
We process your data for organizational and implementation purposes. In addition, we use this data to send you possible advance notices, programs, and newsletters that are relevant to the event. If you do not want to receive this information (or at anytime want to stop receiving this information), please do not hesitate to contact us. In such a case you can of course still participate in our Summer School, but you will not receive the information mentioned above.
Do we publish your data?
On the website of our Summer School we publish programs and sponsor information. Beyond that, your personal data will not be published without your consent.
What happens during the Summer School?
We will take photos during the Summer School for documentation purposes. These images may be published in offline media and on the internet. Your person will not be the main focus, as we will only release general overview photos of the Summer School rooms and the speakers. Do not hesitate to contact the photographers or us if you have any objections. Only in this way can we protect your rights and avoid taking your photo or delete your photo if it was already taken.
Will your personal data be transmitted to third parties?
No, your personal information will not be given to third parties.
How long do we save your data?
We save your data until further notice. If you would like to have your data deleted, you can do so by sending us a message directly.
Your right to information and objection
You can always get information about which data we process about you and to whom this data has been transmitted. All answers are provided to you within a period of four weeks after the receipt of the request for information. You also have the right to object to any part of the data processing. In these cases, however, it may not be possible or no longer possible to attend the Summer School.
Your right to complain
If you believe that we do not process your data properly in accordance with the legal provisions on data protection, you can contact the data protection officer of the TU Dresden or the responsible supervisory authority for data protection requests.

Photos and film recordings
During the entire event, photos and videos will be taken, which could be presented in various on- and offline media. These recordings are meant to show a modest representation of present persons, whereby the selection of persons is random. Versions of the pictures may be published on the homepage and in print media of the organizer and partners of the event.
By participating in the Summer School, the participant agrees to the free publication in the above manner and dissemination and/or storage and accessibility of the recorded image and film material within the framework of the public relations work of the organizer. Their personal rights remain protected in any case.
Apart from that, we refer to the General Terms and Conditions of the Technische Universität Dresden. The laws of the Federal Republic of Germany are applicable. Place of jurisdiction is Dresden.
