- Presentations and papers on conferences
- Scientific exchange to other universities and industry at home and abroad
- Financing of research projects, publication of research results
- Provision and distribution of teaching material, doctoral theses and publications of the institute of fluid power
- Supporting education in the field of fluid power
- Preparation and organization of scientific conferences such as the International Fluid Power Conference
- Organization of the fluidic colloquium in Dresden
