Our group is working on the following topics:
- Imaging of biomaterials, tissues, and cells using confocal laser scanning microscopy, fluorescence microscopy, TIRF microscopy, atomic force microscopy, scanning electron microscopy
- Development of foam-like and textile scaffolds for the tissue engineering of soft tissue and hard tissue
- Application of collagen, gelatine, chitosan as extracellular matixes
- Investigation on natural or artificial biomineralisation processes
- Bioactivity of calcium phosphate phases
- Development and characterisation of biomimetically inspired composite materials based on organic and inorganic components
- Toxicity effects of nanoparticles on living tissue
