Industrial Design at TU Dresden

With roots reaching back as far as the 1950s, the Junior Professorship in Industrial Design Engineering is the oldest design chair at a technical university in Germany. Since 2012, the latest team is conducting research and teaching on »Industrial Design Engineering« at two locations. Our profile focuses on the human-centred development of products and product-service systems for professional contexts. We are hereby supported by the Dresden research landscape – which is unique throughout Germany –, by the interdisciplinary opportunities of the only comprehensive technical university in Germany and by an excellently equipped School of Engineering Sciences with the faculties of Mechanical Science and Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering and Computer Science as well as by our charitable organisations.
