We offer those interested in enrolling in a course various ways of getting an impression of TU Dresden and our faculty long before the course begins:
Uni-Live - university information day on 10/1/2019
Try “studying” for one day, attend lectures, have a look around laboratories, ask students questions about the course, visit the canteen in the afternoon or drop into the university library.

University Day (open day) on 25/5/2019
On open days, the wide range of different courses will be presented, as will current areas of research, and questions concerning applications, financing your studies and many other topics will be answered. Student project groups and initiatives vividly demonstrate what student life consists of.

Long Night of the Sciences on 14/6/2019
You are invited to have a look, try things out, experiment, listen and think, and NOT to sleep. The idea is to engage with scientific phenomena, technical marvels, innovative advanced technologies, humanities disciplines and fine art using all your senses!

Junior Doctor
In JUNIOR DOCTOR children and young people come to the university in their free time to be familiarised with and inspired by science and research made in Dresden. Throughout the school year they engage with researchers and staff members in laboratories, lecture theatres, exhibitions and workshops. Those who at the end have successfully completed seven stations receive the JUNIOR DOCTOR title, certificate and hat from the Dean of TU and the Mayor of Dresden.

Pupils can undergo practical training in all fields of science, in the technical field and in central facilities at TU Dresden.

Lectures for those interested in enrolling in a course of study
Persons interested in enrolling for a study course can attend lectures and mingle with the students. They can thus find out what daily life at the university is like before their studies begin. There are other options too: you can meet professors, sit in the lecture theatre, test your interest in your chosen field of study and explore the campus with its library and canteen.

Opportunities to visit the Faculty of Mechanical Science and Engineering
We have a wind tunnel, 3D simulation and an atomic reactor for educational purposes - there’s more to mechanical engineering than you think! During visits and tours through the faculty’s testing halls and laboratories pupils discover the diversity of mechanical engineering.

DLR_School_LAB
Scientists at TU Dresden and the German Aerospace Centre (DLR) engage in research in order to answer the energy and mobility questions of the future. At the DLR_School_Lab TU Dresden, pupils themselves can become junior researchers and carry out exciting experiments.

For one day, interested schoolgirls have the chance to try out science and technical courses. In addition to exciting workshops, there will be hands-on activities in which participants can work on impressive experiments alongside our scientists.
