TUD | Project Scouts | Project Idea

The Projects Scouts accompany you during the design and implementation of applications for large research collaborative projects. You are assisted in particular in the initial phase, in the development of a project idea, the networking with existing research competencies and the establishment of appropriate partnerships both within TU Dresden and with external partners with the aim of coming up with competitive project proposals.

TUD | European Project Center (EPC) | EU project application and implementation

The European Project Center of TU Dresden offers a service facility that supports you with EU-funded projects in all phases of the project. A team experienced in European project management provides you – in addition to information on European funding programmes und current EU calls with a fully comprehensive administrative project management that assists you with all financial and administrative tasks from the application up to the finalisation of the project. Events related to EU funding of research, structural support and cooperation as well as financial support for the application of EU-funded projects complete the offer.

TUD | Research funding | Project application (national support and contract research)

Research Promotion advises and supports you in all questions related to procedure of third-party funded research and contract management. In the monthly research news, you find information on current funding programmes of the federal state, the states (Länder), DFG, EU and further national and international funding bodies and foundations.

By means of the research pool, incentive and support measures are funded in the application stage for new, publicly funded research projects, preferably in the area of the DFG and BMBF funding. The supports, which include both physical and human resources, are primarily directed at young scientists and new appointees.

TUD | Transfer of Research | Utilisation and Exploitation

The Patent Service is the right contact point for you, when it comes to protecting your idea. After a patent search and based on the predictability and the scope of protection of your invention, strategies are developed in cooperation with you, and individual exploitation strategies (licensing, patent sale etc.) are developed and implemented. Furthermore, national and international applications of your inventions are undertaken.

You also receive support if you consider investing your ideas into an own technology-based business. The Service for Entrepreneurs advises and supports you with questions on intellectual property, its transfer into technology-based spin-off companies, IP strategies and IP management and the Dresden model, a participation model of patent-based spin-offs developed at TU Dresden.

The service for companies is paving the way of companies in all areas of research of TU Dresden. The research information system allows for the targeted partner search for new research collaborations and offers an exchange of information relevant to the transfer through special channels (Dresden Transfer Letter, TechnologieAllianz).

Open Access publications enjoy a special promotion, for which TU Dresden has established an own publication fund.
