Plane:

From Dresden Airport (DRS):
From Dresden Airport please take the local train (S-Bahn) number 2 to Dresden Central Station (Dresden Hauptbahnhof). Trains run every thirty minutes between the airport and Dresden Central Station.

From Berlin Tegel Airport (TXL) and from Berlin Schönefeld Airport (SXF):
You can reach Dresden by several bus companies, e.g. Berlinlinienbus or FlixBus.
Each of the busses arrive at Dresden Central Station.

Train:

The German railway network links Dresden with all major German and European destinations. For further information and connections please visit the homepage of Deutsche Bahn AG (German Railways).
Long-distance trains to and from Dresden arrive at and depart from the stations »Dresden-Hauptbahnhof« (main station) and »Dresden-Neustadt«, and in many cases serve both.

Dresden-Hauptbahnhof (main station) is located at the southern end of the city centre, which is easily reached by foot.

Two tram routes run into the city centre from Dresden-Neustadt station, which is situated on the opposite side of the river Elbe.

Both stations offer numerous options to change to Dresden's local public transport network. Trams, buses und suburban rail services run at regular short intervals, as a comfortable alternative to a long walk or a long wait in the city traffic. Whereas the busses and trams of the Dresden transport corporation DVB concentrate on destinations within the city, the three suburban railway services also serve the neighbouring communities, above all those in the Elbe valley.

From Dresden Central Station to TU Dresden:
Take bus number 66 (direction Mockritz or Coschütz) or 360 (direction Dippoldiswalde) to “Mommsenstraße”.

Car:

As in every major city, the private car is also an important means of transport in Dresden.
Two motorways and six national trunk roads link the Saxon capital into the German and European road networks.
 

Taxi:

In Dresden, there are some 500 taxis on the road 24 hours a day, with almost 100 taxi ranks spread across the whole city.

"Funk Taxi Dresden", for example, promises that its taxis will be at any requested point in the city within five minutes after a phone call: +49 351 211211

A taxi from Dresden Airport to Dresden city centre costs around 25 EUR.
