In its recommendation "A University for Everyone", the German Rectors' Conference calls for "teachers to regard it as part of their teaching duties to systematically incorporate the special interests of students with disabilities and chronic diseases into their teaching and counselling". It is therefore important for the equal participation of students with disabilities and chronic illnesses that knowledge of these issues is available, especially among teachers, academic advisors and members of examination boards,
- which restrictions and problems the respective disability causes in everyday student life, especially in the courses?
- what opportunities do these students have to cope with their study tasks and what help and support do they need?
- what help can and must be provided by the university?
In cooperation with its partners at TU Dresden, the Centre for Continuing Education is happy to support its academic staff - and in particular the teaching staff at TU Dresden - with continuing education programmes that cover all aspects of university teaching.
