Funding Programs of the European Union
The funding programs of the European Union are diverse and complex. The European Project Center (EPC) of TU Dresden provides information and advice on European programs, for example on research and innovation funding, international cooperation or funding from the Saxony Structural Fund.
Project funding is possible, for example, in the following EU funding programs:
- Horizon Europe - the EU Framework Program for Research and Innovation
- Erasmus+ Key Action 2 - cooperation to promote innovation and exchange best practices: Project funding in the framework of Cooperation Partnerships, Innovation Alliances or International Capacity Building Projects in Higher Education.
- COST - The Initiative for European Cooperation in Science and Technology enables networking and scientific exchange in order to initiate and realize joint research projects.
Funding Programs of the DAAD
The DAAD offers various programs for project funding at home as well as abroad for a broad target group. Some of these programs are designed for cooperation with different countries or regions, such as the University Dialogue with Southern Europe program.
Other programs are designed to work with specific target groups, such as the Alumni Program for training and retaining international alumni. The project-related exchange program promotes joint research activities through short-term stays for (young) scientists.
Further information on project funding programs can be found in the DAAD database. An overview of current DAAD program announcements can be downloaded here.
