GPZ Meeting of the Working Group Cytogenetics 2019
We are looking forward to welcome you to the 2019 meeting of the GPZ working group Cytogenetics in Dresden (Germany) for more participants. In the light of the recent events, we will place the meeting in memoriam of Prof. Thomas Schmidt, and have opened the meeting for more participants, with the late registration on Friday September 6th.

We welcome you to the 2019 meeting of the GPZ working group Cytogenetics in Dresden (Germany): "Chromosome biology, genome evolution and modern cytogenetics in the context of plant breeding"
The meeting will be in memoriam of Prof. Thomas Schmidt, group leader, colleague and friend, who has been one of the cytogenetics pioneers in Germany.

The conference venue is an idyllic hotel near Dresden, the "Kim Hotel im Park", providing meeting facilities, and an excellent surrounding to stimulate scientific discussion and interaction with international colleagues involved in genome editing, chromosome engineering, cytogenetics and plant breeding.
We are looking forward to welcome you in Dresden. We have reached the maximum number of participants (35). However, due to increased interest, we have opened the conference for more participants till September 6th. Registration is now closed. On-site registration is not possible.
The Society for Plant Breeding e.V. (GPZ) is a German scientific association for the improvement of plants by breeding and research on the genetic basis of plant breeding.
