Tomography. Theory and Applications | |
Modul: | Phy-Ba-CP: Computational Physics |
Lecture language | German and English |
Summary of Lecture: | The lecture elaborates on the basic principles of tomographic reconstruction methods. In the first part the necessary mathematical principles are discussed. These include the following topics: Radon transformation, algebraic and analytical reconstruction algorithms, regularization and noise transfer, sampling and resolution. In the second part, we focus on the practical implementation of tomographic reconstruction procedures. We discuss the recording, processing and alignment of projection data as well as computer-assisted reconstruction methods and the evaluation and visualization of 3D data using selected examples from electron and X-ray tomography. |
