Summary of Lecture: | The lecture gives an introduction to the description of universal properties of polymers using geometrical and thermodynamic concepts. The following topics will be considered: Statistical models of macromolecules, conformation entropy, blobs and scaling, mean-field concepts, polymer solutions, polymers at surfaces, networks, charge effects, dynamics.
