Summary of Lecture:	The lecture introduces the fundamentals of thermodanymics and applies these to selected systems (function of proteins and cell membranes). Experimental calorimetric Methods such as microcalorimetry, DSC and ITC will be discussed and the option of practical demonstrations is offered.
